Getting Hair Extensions can be a very daunting experience. With so many options and techniques available it can be difficult to find out which method is best for you. Here are the answers to a few common questions. Please contact me if you have any more queries.
Q. How long will my extensions last?
Micro-Ring Extensions can be expected to last between 3 and 4 months, providing they are cared for and properly looked after.
Q. Can I re-use the hair after it has been removed?
Yes definitely. Given that you have followed the After Care guidelines and your hair has been cared for, the hair should still be in a good condition that can be re-used and re-fitted.
Q. Can I dye my hair and style as normal?
Yes, all the hair I use is 100% Human Hair, so styling and dying them isn’t a problem.
Q. Do I need a break between extensions?
I would recommend so yes, even if just 1-2 weeks this gives your hair time to breathe and a rest from the extensions. This time is good for clients to get their hair trimmed, coloured or conditioned.
Q. Do I need to buy special products?
No, as the hair is 100% Human Hair, there is no need to buy extra products. There are a lot of products on the market that are good to buy, such as Moroccon, Keratese, Protein Sprays etc, but these aren’t vital. However, I do recommend buying a proper Hair Extension brush as these are much more gentle on the hair and will keep it in better condition for longer.
Q. What if I’m not happy with my Hair Extensions?
If for some reason you are not happy with your Hair Extensions within 1 week of applying, I will remove them and refund 50% of the price. Your 50% deposit however is non-refundable.
Q. What is the process of the Hair application process?
After your initial enquiry we will arrange a free consultation. Here, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be taken and we will decide on the color to be ordered before booking the application appointment. A client disclaimer form will also be completed at the consultation to protect both the technician and the client. Finally, the application process will take place, this can take from 2-5 hours depending on the thickness.
Q. How are the Micro-Rings applied?
Small rings are clamped to the hair to hold in each individual bond. No heat is used on the hair meaning no harm.
Q. How Is the hair removed?
When you are ready to remove the hair, we simple unclamp the rings and release the hair, causing no damage to the natural hair or the bond.
Q. I'm Pregnant, can I still get Hair Extensions?
It is not recommended to get Hair Extensions whilst Pregnant. During pregnancy, the hair can often grow at a faster rate, meaning more need for Maintanence visits which can be difficul to upkeep. After pregnancy, women often can lose hair due to the hormones. Therefore, it is recommended to leave up to 3 months after giving birth to get extensions fitted.
